Personal Information
Thank you for visiting the 1199SEIU Funds’ website. We appreciate your interest, and whether you visit and navigate or communicate directly with us on this site, we want to assure you that we will not collect or sell personal information about you to any third-party vendor. Any non-public personal information that you may provide via our site will be used solely for the purpose stated on the page where it is collected. By “personal information,” we mean data that is unique to an individual, such as a name, address, Member ID number, email address or phone number.
Internet Protocol Address
An Internet Protocol(IP) address is a number that automatically identifies the computer/machine you have used to access the Internet, much like the way a phone number identifies you on the phone system. It does not contain any personal information about the user. The address enables our server to send you the web pages that you want to visit, and it may disclose the server owned by your Internet Service Provider. We utilize your IP address to analyze trends, administer and troubleshoot the website, and track users’ movements around the site.
Member Personal Information Account
Each 1199SEIU member may create a member personal information account through “MyAccount,” which is contained within a secure online environment on the website and is safe for information exchange via email. To create a personal information account, you will need to register for MyAccount by providing certain pieces of identifying information about yourself, such as your Member ID number and the last four digits of your Social Security number. The purpose of the registration process is to validate members.
MyAccount also requires the use of a valid personal email address. By providing this address, you expressly consent to receive electronic communication from us regarding your 1199SEIU benefits. Since protected health and other confidential information may be transmitted through MyAccount to the email address you provide, please be sure to use a private email address that is owned by you or shared with someone whom you consent to view your confidential information.
We may also use your email address to send you non-confidential informational material about your 1199SEIU benefits. You may opt out of receiving such communications at any time by following the unsubscribe instructions contained within the emails.
Changes to This Privacy Statement
The 1199SEIU Funds may change this statement from time to time; when updates are made, the privacy policy version date (located at the bottom of this policy) will also be updated to reflect that a revision occurred. We encourage you to periodically reread this policy to see if there have been any changes that may affect you. This statement is not intended to and does not create any contractual or other legal rights in or on behalf of any party.
